Welcome to Vision Sports Radio
Vision Sports has been the voice of the Blue Springs Wildcats and Blue Springs South Jaguars on 1030 AM KCWJ since 1997. During these fifteen years of broadcasting excellence, Vision Sports has been recognized by the Missouri Broadcasters Association ten (10) times as the best play by play broadcast in Missouri.
Starting in 2001, Vision Sports, the Blue Springs School District and Vision Sports commenced airing the television rebroadcasts of the Vision Sports Game of the Week on the BSSD Television Network (Comcast 15 and ATT U-Verse 99 in Eastern Jackson County. These rebroadcasts air at 10:30 p.m. the same night of the game, and also air six additional times throughout the weekend.
This website was launched in 2001, and we are happy to make the live broadcasts of the Cats and Jags available to Blue Springs and Blue Springs South fans and alumni around the world. Our website is overseen and hosted by Terri Wible of the Marvel Group, who has done an amazing job keeping our online community informed and up to date with the programs. We receive numerous e-mails from folks outside of the area every year, many of them serving our country around the world and we thank you for your service. Thanks for listening.
Vision Sports would like to thank the great folks at the Blue Springs school district for allowing us the privilege to do what we love. There are too many people to name individually, but we would like to recognize Dr. Paul Kinder, Dr, Annette Seago, Coach Kelly Donohoe at Blue Springs and Coach Greg Oder at Blue Springs South and the athletic directors Tom Round at Blue Springs and Mark Bubalo at Blue Springs South for their support of our eleven year partnership.
Finally, we would like to thank our sponsors. If it were not for their support and sponsorship, our program would not be what it is today. We strongly ask that you patronize the businesses that make our broadcasts possible. By doing such you are not only thanking them for sponsoring a program you enjoy but you are also spending your money in our community and the sales tax revenues benefit our schools and our city.
Vision Sports dedicates the 2011 season of its broadcasts in the memory of our longtime producer-engineer Fred Frank who passed away in June. Fred was a key part of our broadcast family and “got our broadcasts on the air” from our first broadcast in 1997 through the 2009 broadcast of the state championship game between the Cats and Hazelwood Central. Fred was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed.
On behalf of my partner Brian Johnston, myself, Dale Carter, Tim Crone, Buddy Young, Kevin Hornick, Bob Watson and Rich Montgomery, thanks again for your support of Vision Sports. We appreciate the privilege to bring the excitement of the Cats and Jags to you. We look forward to the many years to come to bring you exciting Blue Springs and Blue Springs South high school football.
